An adaptogenic mushroom chocolate bar concept I created based on the idea of wanting to try the effects of adaptogenic mushrooms without giving up your favorite blend of coffee. I developed the packaging and prototypes for 3 different bar flavors, each with different intended effects, and paired the flavor profiles of the specific adaptogens being used with the additional flavors incorporated into the chocolate bar. All 3 bars contain Chaga mushrooms for the vast range of health benefits they provide.

Packaging

The packaging contains hand-drawn vector artwork I created of the gills of a mushroom on the outside of all three flavors while the inside contains artwork I created of the mushroom that gives the intended effect of that flavor, as well as a description of all 3 adaptogens and their effects.

Process

I hand-cut all the dielines to assemble the packaing prototypes and hand-cast liquid resin into silicone chocolate bar molds, then spray-painted them to match the appearance of chocolate.

In Cinema 4D I modeled the entire dieline, then folded it to recreate the packaging virtually, and applied the artwork textures as a decal through the alpha channel.
